The Barn - Principal room (sitting area)

In a bid to retain some of the sense of space of the original building, a significant proportion of the ground floor of the old barn has been split into a single room organised into three areas - a kitchen area, a dining area and a sitting area (part of which is pictured here) with log burner.

The north aspect of the Barn includes a large glass and oak screen in the place of the original floor-to-ceiling doors. The screen is within the sitting area and its large glazed doors offer access to the Barn's own patio and garden. The sitting room and the patio have far-reaching views over the surrounding countryside and in the evening can afford spectacular views of the setting sun.

The Barn also has a large sitting room on the first floor.
