Swimming

Guests at White Lodge Farm will, like golfers, find themselves spoilt for choice.

Apart from the possibility of swimming in the sea from the many beaches around the Norfolk coastline, there are indoor, heated swimming pools aplenty.

Amongst swimming pools within a ten minute drive are those at The Norfolk Golf & Country Club, Reymerston, The Spa, at Aldercarr Hall, Great Ellingham and Barnham Broom Country Club.

A little farther afield, but still within a twenty minute drive, are the swimming pools at The Spa, Park Farm, Hethersett, UEA Sportspark, Wymondham Leisure Centre, and Dereham Leisure Centre.

The pool at The Spa, at Aldercarr Hall has open swimming sessions (adults only) and offers exclusive use hire, by the hour, at other times.

Day membership at The Spa, Park Farm, Hethersett gives use of the fitness studio and circuit gym, as well as the swimming pool, sauna, steam room, bubbling spa pool and sun bed (some additional charges may apply). Children are welcome and there's a childrens' day membership as well. Why not make a morning, afternoon or day of it, with a treatment or two and a bite to eat (a reduced rate day membership is available with most spa treatments).

As well as a pool, Barnham Broom's Edge Health and Fitness Club boasts state-of-the-art cardiovascular and resistance equipment in an air-conditioned gym. There's also an integrated spa and jet stream, as well as sauna and steam rooms. Four squash courts and three tennis courts are also available for use by day members.

If you're look for a pool where you can do some serious swimming then the UEA Sportspark may be for you. It has a 50m pool operating in 25 and 50m formats throughout the week, with ultra violet light as the main cleansing system.

Wymondham Leisure Centre and Dereham Leisure Centre also each have a 25m pool, and a "learner" pool.
