Market towns
As an area whose economy was predominantly built on agriculture, Norfolk and North Suffolk have a number of market towns
spread fairly evenly across its landscape, with most retaining at least a weekly market,
often now supplemented by a farmers' market. Market towns which have retained their market (that in Hingham
sadly disappeared before the 19th century) include:

"Holt: Nice town with interesting independent shops."

"Fakenham Farmers' Market: Small but good variety of produce. We stocked up on organic vegetables, free range egges and bacon,
local apple juice and the nicest home-made steak and ale pie we had eaten."
