More help...Are pets allowed at White Lodge Farm Cottages? One dog is usually accepted at White Lodge Farm Cottages, although the right is reserved not to (a registered assistance dog is always welcome). No other pets can be accommodated. Whilst it is appreciated that some guests may prefer self-catering accommodation in which pets have not been present it seems unlikely, in view of the Disability Discrimination Act, that even accommodation owners who specify "no pets" would guarantee that they would not accept a registered assistance dog. Rest assured, however, that the cottages are cleaned to a high standard before guests arrive. With a view to meeting the expectations of all guests whilst complying with the law, acceptance of dogs is subject to a few basic rules:
If you'd like to bring your dog with you but are unable to meet these few requirements there are a number of kennels within 15 minutes' drive of White Lodge Farm Cottages. The cottage gardens are fenced and lead directly onto miles of tracks on which dogs under control and on leads are welcome. A charge of £25 is made as a contribution towards the cost of the additional cleaning associated with having a dog in the accommodation. Of course guests remain responsible for any damage caused by their dog and any excessive cleaning. Dogs receive their own "welcome pack". |
