How to find White Lodge Farm Cottages from the west

You'll probably come along either the A14 (in which case follow the instructions from the south) or the A47:

1. Leave the A47 at Dereham (just after commencement of the dual carriageway).

2. At T junction turn right (SP Dereham).

3. In 400 yards at traffic lights turn right.

4. In 600 yards at roundabout take third exit (SP Wymondham B1135) (take second exit for Tesco with filling station).

5. In 1.5 miles turn right (SP Wymondham B1135).

6. In 3 miles (at bottom of hill after leaving Garvestone) turn right (SP Hingham) (See note).

7. In 3 miles, on reaching Hingham (shops include a grocers, butcher, baker, newsagent, post office and dispensing chemist), turn left at the crossroads (SP Norwich).

8. Pass through the village (NB 20MPH speed limit!) and around the double bends. Just after the garage (on the right), fire station (also on the right) and 30MPH sign, turn left into Ringers Lane.

9. At the T junction turn right and proceed out of the village, passing the de-restriction signs. Then, after passing around the left hand bend, the drive to White Lodge Farm will be found on your left at the beginning of the straight. Ignore the driveway with the white rails before the right hand bend - this is not the access to the cottages.

Note: Should this road be closed (as it often seems to be), carry straight on for a further 2.5 miles and over a bridge followed by a sharp left hand bend. In 400 yards at the top of the hill turn right (easy to miss) into Station Road (SP Hardingham).

In 1.5 miles proceed straight through Hardingham. Do not take left turn after village but in 0.6 miles after that turning the drive to White Lodge Farm will be found on your right. If you reach the right hand bend you've gone too far!
